What is Life Coaching?
Each of us came into this world with our own unique passions and expression. When we are using these natural attributes purposefully our creativity is alive and our visions are inspiring. Yet we often run into roadblocks such as debilitating fears, self-limiting thoughts and behaviors, exhaustion from today’s fast pace, distractions, information overload and overwhelming responsibilities! These make it immensely challenging to identify and commit to our priorities. Life coaching is a partnership designed to enhance your personal power across life’s foundations such as, health, spiritual, work, creativity, personal relationships (including the one with yourself), family and social life.
Life coaching can help access the wisdom of your spiritual Self, the part of you that sees beyond the daily stresses and roadblocks to a larger perspective of your life’s legacy. Being a teacher of psychology, a poet, a business woman and an artist of my own life, I am skilled at bridging the soul’s creative process with observable results. Together we uncover meaningful desires in your life, identify anything that is getting in the way of their becoming reality, access the courage needed to move ahead and build strategic next steps. Often our despair, depression, boredom or depletion comes from not being able to move in a purposeful direction. Even when timing is not conducive to movement right now, it is comforting to know that what is in the future is already with us today and timing is not static. We may also just have this feeling that there is something “more” and a burning desire to trust and follow that inclination. We are naturally creative, resourceful and whole. The co-activity in life coaching deeply nurtures this understanding.
Coaching has the freedom and flexibility to address a wide variety of personal and professional topics. It helps guide you to the path of self-love, self-compassion, self-knowledge and self-commitment by identifying your strengths and prioritizing your most precious work of art….your life!
How different our lives are when we really know what is deeply important to us, and, keeping that picture in mind, we manage ourselves each day to be and do what really matters most
—Stephen Covey
Listen,
The world needs
The spontaneity of humble angels.
Fly madly towards yourself
And watch the generosity.
Find where you belong
Through the love of
Your own sweet beauty.
—Zan E. Nix (Excerpt from poem, Your Own Sweet Beauty from An Ocean of Fierce Loving: Poems on Love & Transformation)
